This is my Sigma "walkaround" lens. It's not my best lens in terms of image quality. It's not the fastest lens I own, by far. It's not the widest, nor the longest in terms of focal length. Nor does it have the fastest auto-focus.

It does just well enough in each of these categories for my purposes. Its main advantage is the zoom range, which runs from a pretty darn wide 18mm to a long-enough 125mm (and maintains a close mininum focus distance throughout the zoom range). When I can only bring one lens, this is the one I bring, most of the time. It's also my "tourist" lens.
