saintseminole > I've had this on my wish list for a LONG time. Since we're moving, it felt like a good time to get it. Waterproof, air-tight, unbreakable, and spacious.

saintseminole > This isn't how the case will be configured permanently; I just threw in some gear for this picture. But it's pretty close, I guess.

Top row, from left: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM, with four batteries and a charger on top of a pad; Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM; and backup camera - Canon Rebel XT (350D)
Middle row, from left: Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro (with Tamron lens cap); Kenko Extension Tubes (12mm, 20mm, 36mm); Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II (in Lowepro padded case); Canon 420EX Speedlite flash (in Lowepro case with Eneloop batteries), with digital recorder on top.
Bottom row, from left: Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM; Canon EF 28-105mm f/4-5.6 USM (underneath), covered by Kenko 2x teleconvter; battery charger for Eneloops (white), and Gepe Card Safe (gray); and main camera body -- Canon Rebel XTi (400D), with main lens, Sigma 18-125mm f/3.5-5.6 DC.

saintseminole > A tiny strand of spider silk kept this grass blade from straightening out. And I hadn't used the 70-200mm f/2.8L in a while -- I was simply amazed at how smooth the background is in this shot!

saintseminole > My parents were bearing gifts when they returned from England last night. The Fry's Chocolate bars pictured above are always a special treat -- mainly because our surname is on the package.

The cool thing is, it's completely healthy (in my estimation), because it doesn't have a single calorie listed on the back -- just kilojoules, which has no bearing whatsoever in an American mind.

(Fry's is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Cadbury Limited.)

saintseminole > Hundreds of patrol cars from dozens of agencies were parked at First Baptist Church in Seminole for the funeral of Officer Chris Heathcott, who died in a traffic accident recently. The night before his funeral, two Seminole County deputies were shot and killed, leaving our area stunned.

In my several years as a reporter for our small-town daily newspaper, I got to know Chris well, from his days as a dispatcher and jailer, as a reserve officer, and then as the City Code Inspector. He was a hard-working, detail-oriented officer, as well as quick-witted, jovial, and fun to be around. We'll miss you, Chris.

saintseminole > Let's see how long it takes before someone leaves a nasty comment, giving me their perfectly understandable reason for parking here.
